Brain Power!
This four-part series explores a brain-based approach focused on the social-emotional learning (SEL) skills of both adults and students. We examine the neurological processes and relationship-based learning that support key skills for academic success, emotional regulation, and self-regulation, emphasizing the critical role of social connection in human development and learning. This series is designed for adults who work with all children, including those with neurodiverse needs and those impacted by trauma.

Blueprint for Success: Building Classroom Foundations
Creating a culture of learning begins with intentional, research-based practices that build a safe and connected learning environment. This series will explore foundational elements including understanding student’s skills set, fostering a growth mindset, using visual and structure supports, being intentional with the language and designing meaningful learning experiences. Participates will understand that by strengthening these core practices, they are laying the groundwork for a classroom culture that promotes learning and independence.

Beyond Rewards and Consequences: A Development Approach to Classroom Management
Effective classroom management goes beyond enforcing the rules- it requires understanding how students develop socially, emotionally and behaviorally. This training explores a developmental approach that shifts the adult mindset from compliance to teaching using proactive strategies that support students’ development.

Breaking Through: Supporting Relationship-Selective Students
Some children are highly selective about who they will trust and connect with, making relationship building challenging. This training explores reasons behind relationship selectivity and offers approaches to foster trust, connection and engagement. Participants will learn how to create a safe and supportive environment that help children feel seen, valued and understood.

Creating a Framework for Meaningful Learning (Multi-Part Series)
These sessions introduce ways to integrate structure into the classroom setting by incorporating physical structure, visual structure, and individualizing student tasks to create meaningful experiences for students. Participants will explore practical ways of implementing structured teaching into everyday practice. Additional benefits include promoting on-task behaviors and building student independence.

From Conflict to Connection: De-escalation Skills for Educators
We all want to support students in being successful throughout their school day, but sometimes that’s easier said than done. When a student struggles to understand their environment or meet daily expectations, their challenges can manifest as intense emotions and behaviors. How can adults respond to these big feelings in a way that teaches students the skill of self-regulation? This training will focus on the "adult-first" approach to supporting upset students, turning conflict into a valuable teachable moment.

Road to De-escalation
This training is designed to equip educators with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively de-escalate students while fostering a positive and empathetic learning environment. Participants will learn how to support students’ emotional needs by being a supportive partner of the co-regulation process. Upon completion, participants will gain a clear understanding of the positive impact of relationship-centered practices.

Visual Techniques to Support Social Understanding
Programs that improve students’ social skills and emotional development also improve academic performance and are a proven prevention strategy widely used in schools. This interactive training includes a variety of best practice approaches which are impactful when supporting students with social emotional challenges.
