The following trainings can be tailored for any age.

Understanding and Shifting Our Mindset on Children’s Behavior
Caregivers will learn to view challenging behavior as an opportunity for connection and growth.

Building Emotional Regulation Skills
Caregivers will learn techniques to help children identify and manage their emotions, while also supporting themselves in staying calm and regulated.

Adult-Child Communication: Building Boundaries
Caregivers will learn the difference between making demands and setting boundaries, and understand the power of language and empathy in parent-child interactions.

Attunement, Attachment and Engagement
Caregivers will reflect on their mindset, and focus on connection with their child over immediate behavior correction.

Repairing and Reconnecting After Conflicts
Caregivers will learn the importance of repairing relationships and using language to help reconnect after misunderstandings or conflicts with their child.

School Readiness Series
This training series equips caregivers and educators with the skills to support Pre-K students during their transition to kindergarten. Focused on both social-emotional and academic readiness, participants will gain a deeper understanding of Pre-K students’ unique needs and learn strategies to foster a successful transition. Attendees will leave with practical routines, connection activities, and innovative academic ideas to ensure a smooth, nurturing start to kindergarten.

Sensory Series
This series of 3 sessions will support caregivers’ understanding of their child’s unique
sensory needs. We will begin the series by learning about the 8 senses and how those senses play a role in their child’s development and everyday life from daily activities, family functions, and learning at school. The following sessions will focus on sensory activities that can be built into the child’s routine at home to support their unique needs. Caregivers will leave with resources and ideas to use at home and how to seek out support in their own communities if needed. Further information about each session is available upon request.

The Community Resiliency Model®
The Community Resiliency Model's goal is to help create "trauma-informed" and "resiliency-focused' communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored or increased using the CRM skills. The primary focus is teaching six skills that can be used at any time to help us return and remain in our Resiliency Zone.

CRM trains community members with the hope that they will pass learned skills on to others. To learn more visit https://www.traumaresourceinstitute.com/.
